In Episkopi, in Upper Volos, the church of the Virgin, which has been dated to the 12th century, it contains built-in Byzantine relief pieces. The archaeological museum shows great interest, which houses the most important collection of Greek art from the ancient tombstones Dimitriada. A little further south, it is the place and the citadel of ancient Pagasae, a city that was inhabited from the Neolithic era. In the village Dimini (5 km from Volos) and in Sesklo (14 km from Volos) there are prehistoric settlements. It would be remiss not to mention the tsipouradika of Volos, whose number in the region far exceeds the 300.
